Pamela Corson, PhD

In her role as Global Head of Mental Health, Pam is responsible for leading BlackRock's mental health programs and advancing the conversation on mental well-being with a focus on continuing to strengthen a firm-wide culture of support. She works closely with a cross-functional team of internal/external partners to build and execute a global strategy for mental health. Pam is also focused on expanding and promoting the Mental Health Ambassador program, leading the Mental Health Core Team, and overall facilitation of the Mental Health Executive Steering Committee.

Prior to her time at BlackRock, Pam served as the Vice President of Behavioral and Global Health at Prudential. In this role she was responsible for all aspects of Behavioral Health, a global Employee Assistance Program, and clinical oversight of the Behavioral Health team of counselors and coaches, mindfulness and other well-being training. She also coordinated the Incident Oversight Team, focused on mitigating workplace violence and other critical incidents. In addition, Pam also provided consultation to managers, HR professionals, and work groups on issues related to interpersonal behavior and mental health.

Before her role at Prudential, Pam served as the Global Director of Employee Assistance and Work Life Effectiveness at Johnson and Johnson, leading EAP and Work Life strategy and service delivery across the globe. Pam was also previously responsible for all integrated health and well-being services, including occupational health clinics, wellness and health promotion, health coaching, EAP and Energy Management (Corporate Athlete). This involved close collaboration with many business partners including HR, Health & Safety and Global Security.

In addition, Pam also has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs, as well as work in Career Counseling and Coaching. She has a Ph.D. in Health Science, an M.A. in Counseling, and a B.S. in Psychology. Pam's other credentials include: Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She also serves on the Advisory Board for DMAX Foundation, focused on supporting mental health of college students. She supports the field of workplace mental health by serving as a Certification Commissioner for the International Employee Assistance Professionals Association, has served on the Board of Directors of the Employee Assistance Roundtable, and is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Carolyn C. Mattingly Mental Health in the Workplace Award. Pam remains committed to creating and sustaining a culture of health and well-being, benefitting employees and their families.
