Laurie Burstein-Maxwell, PhD, MBA
Board Co-Chair and Founder

With her husband Lee, Laurie co-founded DMAX Foundation and now serves as its Executive Director, Board Member and Co-President of DMAX Foundation.  Prior to DMAX Foundation, Laurie spent most of her career as a buy-side equity investment manager, research analyst, portfolio manager and stock picker, focusing for the most part on Microcap Equities.  She has also served as strategic advisor to young companies, providing business and strategic marketing plans.  Prior to that, she was a psychologist, working both with individuals from teen through adult and with businesses.  In her earliest career, she was a preschool and elementary education teacher.  She holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a PhD in Psychology from Temple University and a Master’s in Education from the University of Bridgeport.  Laurie received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
